A key character in propelling the gritty “WYOmericana” roots music scene in Wyoming, Aaron Davis (vocal, electric guitar, banjo, resonator, lap steel, harmonica) is a Wyoming-based / Kentucky native, chiefly known as co-founder of national touring act Screen Door Porch, and owner-engineer-producer-session player at Three Hearted Recording Studio in Hoback, Wyoming. Aaron has long worked the lesser-worn corners of the American musical fabric through an unconventional lens, a concept fervently developed by the phenomenal instrumentalists of The Mystery Machine—monster drummer-percussionist Liam Mountain O’Neill with 3-part harmony sung by consummate bassist David Bundy and skilled piano-organ-synth man Mike Patton. The quartet combines for “The vibe of The Band going throughout” (Wyoming Public Radio) with a dynamic stage show equally versed in group improvisations and intricate arrangements. It’s a rootsy celebration of mountain-inspired alt-country, groovy slide blues, story folk, gypsy grass, and funky roots rock.
